In the 19th century, Val d'Argent counted up to 150 textile manufactures, producing high-end fabrics based on mixed fibres. From this rich industrial past, there remain nearly 4000 registers with almost 4 million textile samples, some of which were produced for European haute couture houses.
Allow yourself to tell the story of the threads of art and history, through a visit to the Val d'Argent tissue archives, and the commented presentation of a selection of textile sample registers from the 18th century to the present day.
