Enjoy a guided tour, to discover the history and operation of a work of the line Maginot, French fortification of the Second World War.

Descend 25 meters underground and discover the unknown history of the soldiers of the Maginot line. A fortification built in the late 1930s, La Ferté was attacked by the Germans in May 1940. After four days of fighting, he was put out of action and the entire garrison - a hundred French soldiers - perished. Many objects, equipment, weapons or war stigmas remain.
Departures at 10am, 2pm and 4pm on Saturdays; at 10am, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm on Sundays.

The work of Ferté, sometimes nicknamed site of Villy-La Ferté, is a fortress of the Maginot line, located in the sector strengthened by Montmédy. It lives(remains) unfortunately famous to have been the only work of the "Wall of France" where the whole garrison perishes, suffocated.
