Unique workshop of burnt sandstone, old forge and saboterie.
The burnt sandstone of Rambervillers whose origin dates back to 1881 offers us a whole choice of artistic ceramics. In 1974, Marcel Ferry took over the former historic production tool for the burnt sandstone of the Rambervillers Limited Company for Ceramic Products and saved mussels in danger. Most of these moulds are signed by great art nouveau artists from the École de Nancy. Each piece of this special workmanship retains the very marked imprint of the whims of fire and must be considered as a unique piece whose reflections cannot be successfully reproduced at will.
Mr. Ferry’s burnt sandstone workshop is still in operation. From his electric ovens, a new one acquired in 2021, the artist continues to produce and reissue pieces from old moulds and above all he creates new forms and new canopy chandeliers.
