Reconstitution of a post of gunners of 1792 around a 12-pound Gribeauval cannon and evocation of the battle of Valmy, the victory of the Revolution.
On the 230th anniversary of the Battle of Valmy, the Valmy Artillery Group will display an artillery piece, the famous Gribeauval gun, a 12-pound piece.
This cannon was the great winner of the battle of Valmy against the Pruissians of the Duke of Brunswick. The day after the battle, on September 20, 1792, the Republic was proclaimed, the victory of the Revolution.
