Musée gallo-romain et mérovingien et cimetière mérovingien
rue nationale, 54115 Tramont-Emy
- Meurthe-et-Moselle
- Grand Est
For the first time in 2014, the municipality decided to participate in the Heritage Day by opening its Gallo-Roman and Merovingian museum. A walk in the village allowed visitors to start with a guided tour of the museum, continue through the village cemetery where there is a remarkable cross (or calvary) and finish this walk in time by the necropolis located at the «tant bois». Indeed Tramont-Emy was a site of excavations from 1965 by the Comité du Haut Saintois, an association of volunteers from the surrounding villages, which uncovered burials containing bones, jewellery and everyday objects.
