The Dominicans welcome the presentation of the book «Guebwiller, une histoire» to celebrate together its publication.

Guebwiller, a history invites a journey through the centuries, from 774, the first mention of the city, until today, to better understand the essence of the city. The reader discovers legends, anecdotes, poems about the beauty of the city.
Working together, the book has benefited from the expertise of historians like Philippe Legin. The project was coordinated by Jasmine Tschaen, the first director of the Guebwiller Media Library, who ended his career there with the birth of the book.
The book reflects my attachment to the city of Guebwiller. A municipality’s job is to evolve the city to meet current needs. This must be done in a way that respects its history. This book is a wonderful work of memory. But it also projects and engages us in the future,” explains Mayor Francis Kleitz, who initiated the project.
