The Natural History Society of the Ardennes has 5 remarkable ancient herbaria, one of which has 240 volumes.

A few precious plates will be exhibited at the Heritage Department and, Arnaud Bizot, Vice-President of the SHNA (Société d'Histoire Naturelle des Ardennes), will introduce us to the herbaria Callay, Janet, Cardot, Mailfait and Bourguignon.
These collections, indispensable for typification and botanical studies, have a rich history: these botanists were also explorers and even, for one of them, a renowned psychologist, whose work inspired Freud. Presentation at the Heritage Reading Room at 11am and 3pm.

The Voyelles media library, which is the central equipment of the Charleville-Mézières library network, is located in the buildings of the former convent of the Sepulcrines, founded in the 17th century, premises restored and enlarged in 2008 by the architect Daniel Rubin. The media library holds very old collections, from the Middle Ages to the 19th century, and specialized collections, notably on Rimbaud and the Ardennes. It offers printed and audiovisual collections in all fields and for all audiences. It has a multimedia room and a performance room.
