Cinéma Le Palace
33 boulevard de la Motte, 51200 Epernay
On January 31, 1920, the cinema Le Palace opened its doors in Epernay. For nearly a century, it has become an essential place of Sparnacian life. Through various articles, we offer you to dive back together into the history of this place of entertainment and culture.
The cinematographer had existed for some years already, and had made the fine days of the fairs attractions, when it was decided to devote theaters to the projection of films. On the eve of its opening, the whole of Epernay was eager to discover this cinema in the single room: The Palace, located at the end of Boulevard Motte (named after an eponymous family owner of local property), near the railway station facing public gardens, which have given way, today, to parking lots.
