Die Straßburger National- und Universitätsbibliothek erhielt am 3. Dezember dieses Jahres 57 Exponate aus der Abteilung für orientalische Altertümer des Louvre. Dieses Korpus von Objekten beleuchtet eine alte Zivilisation, die oft schlecht oder wenig bekannt ist. Die Geschichte der Phönizier erstreckt sich über eine große historische, aber auch geografische Epoche. Bekannt für ihr Alphabet, waren die Phönizier auch große Handwerker, deren Produktion von einem reichen wirtschaftlichen und kulturellen Austausch mit anderen Gesellschaften inspiriert wurde. Diese Tour zeigt einen neuen Teil unserer Geschichte und einen anderen Aspekt dieser Zivilisation.

The National and University Library of Strasbourg received on December 3, 2017, fifty-seven items in deposit from the Department of Oriental Antiquities of the Louvre Museum. This corpus of objects highlights an ancient civilization often poorly or little known. The history of the Phoenicians extends over a vast historical but also geographical era. Known for their alphabet, the Phoenicians were also great craftsmen, whose production was inspired by rich economic and cultural exchanges with other societies. This visit allows us to discover a new part of our history as well as a different aspect of this civilization.

La Biblioteca nazionale e universitaria di Strasburgo ha ricevuto il 3 dicembre scorso 57 pezzi in deposito provenienti dal dipartimento delle Antichità orientali del Museo del Louvre. Questo corpus di oggetti mette in luce una civiltà antica spesso male o poco conosciuta. La storia dei Fenici si estende su una vasta era storica ma anche geografica. Noti per il loro alfabeto, i Fenici sono stati anche grandi artigiani, la cui produzione è stata ispirata da ricchi scambi economici e culturali con altre società. Questo tour permette di scoprire una nuova parte della nostra storia e un aspetto diverso di questa civiltà.

Ce corpus d’objets met en lumière une civilisation antique souvent mal ou peu connue. L’histoire des Phéniciens s’étend sur une vaste ère historique mais également géographique. Connus pour leur alphabet, les Phéniciens ont également été de grands artisans, dont la production a été inspirée par de riches échanges économiques et culturels avec d’autres sociétés. Cette visite permet de découvrir un nouveau pan de notre Histoire ainsi qu’un aspect différent de cette civilisation.
