Come discover or rediscover the exhibition dedicated to the Celtic period.

The expression «our ancestors the Gauls» resonates in all the memories and refers to the image of a muscular warrior, hair in the wind and mustache provided or for the youngest, to a cartoon character. And this is often the only notion we have of this people, or rather of these Celtic peoples, largely relayed by textbooks or artistic representations.
The evolution of archaeology, the multiplication of the creations of urban and industrial areas and the scientific study of the ancient collections currently allow to have a deeper knowledge of these many peoples occupying Gaul, a territory comprising France but also Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland and northern Italy.
The exhibition allows us to compare the Roman writings and the vision of the nineteenth century with the archaeological discoveries, thus making the part of legend and reality.
