Is it an illusion or an impression? Is your mind playing tricks on you? What will happen to you when you leave this exhibition? Seeing and thinking things differently is the experience that young designers coming out of the Cerfav formations offer you. Rightly so, their exhibition is entitled Apophenia. They thus underline the tendency that everyone has to perceive and establish connections between things, seemingly unrelated. They propose a shift from a material reality (glass, metal, textile) to an imaginary or to an unconscious, personal or collective. Thus, materials sometimes considered as banal, functional, are transformed here into 34 projects with artistic and design purposes. Coming from diverse backgrounds, these emerging talents give their personal vision of today’s world through original creations imagined from current subjects, from society or with more intimate, poetic accents. It’s up to you to walk, to dive, to interpret.
