At the place called "Meyergarten" is the house "De Gail". At this place, there was once a medieval castle, surrounded by a ditch fed by the Dorfgiessen. This ditch is still visible in the northeastern part of the property. This ancient fortified castle had two corner towers recognizable on ancient archival maps. It was inhabited by noble families whose identity is not proven with certainty. Mention is made of the Heimburg of Plobsheim, also a certain Paul Mossung and the Zum Treubel…
The Zorns built the new Renaissance castle from 1588 to 1590, not far from the old one. No doubt stones of the former castle were recovered to build the foundations, thus accelerating its destruction. This large house is illuminated by mullioned windows with moulded frames. It has high gables dampened by balls and an oriel on the northeast corner. A gunboat on the ground floor reflects a troubled era. The flashing of a wall, frameworks of suitors, corner chains bear many marks of a spotter.
