The Hotel of the departmental Council(Advise) of the Marne sheltered in the past the Saint convent - Marie who welcomed the nuns of the Congregation of Notre-Dame justified by Pierre Fourier. Construction began in 1631 on plans of the architect Pacquotte and he was extended on the plans of Robert de Cotte with a chapel, new buildings(ships) and a big(great) portal(gate). In 1792, after revolutionary confiscations, he was successively transformed into barracks, then into store of wheat, into factory with cotton between 1806 and 1826 and the Big(Great) seminary(seminar) in 1827 became finally. In 1903, he(it) knew a phase of abandonment(relinquishment) and two wings were destroyed. The police station occupied him(her,it) from 1942 till 1991 then departmental advice(council) from 1995.
