Centre Psychothérapique de Nancy - Chapelle Saint-Roch
1 rue du Dr Archambault, 54520 Laxou
- Meurthe-et-Moselle
- Grand Est
The chapel was built in 1778 by the Brothers of the Christian Schools. It was destroyed by fire in 1794 and was later rebuilt on the same plan. The dome was restored in 1883\. The statue of Saint Roch dates from 1782 and was made under the direction of the Brothers of the Christian Schools. In the rotunda, an important organ buffet of the end of the 18th century, of unknown origin but of certain quality, is installed behind the altar. The instrumental part was rebuilt in 1971.
Delimiting the space around the altar, one can see low grids that reveal all the art of Jean Lamour.
Finally, some stained glass windows are signed by Camille Hilaire, painter, lithographer, stained glass and upholsterer (1916-2004).
