Chapelle des Récollets

Récollets came to Châlons in 1613, called by the bishop Cosme Clause. They occupied a young, at first, hatch street of Vinetz which they abandoned(gave up) fast for lack of place(square). They settled down then street Big(Great) Stage. The convent was deleted(eliminated) in Revolution and served during a time(weather) of store of military clothing. In 1805, it was given to the Dames de la Congrégation Notre-Dame who had not been able to reinstate(re-enter) the Saint convent - marry street of Jessaint. The convent is included into the buildings(ships) of the thought private school Notre-Dame Perrier school. In 1990, a part(party) of the chapel was destroyed by a fire.
