Located on the banks of the Loire, the Bibliothèque Municipale de Tours is a building built by architects Pierre Patou and the Dorian brothers to replace the old library, destroyed during the bombings of 1940, Inaugurated in 1957, it is representative of the very monumental architecture of the Reconstruction and testifies to the late influence of Art Deco. His qualities led to his inscription as a Historic Monument in 1996\. He was rehabilitated between 2012 and 2013.
