Château de Buranlure

Eloquent evidence of the know-how of the builders of the XVth century. Buranlure has the root in the hectic time of Hundred Years' War. Located on the edge of the Loire, he(it) was a member(part) of all these small strong places(squares) with defensive purpose, to protect the Kingdom of France (Bourges) from the Burgundians and from the English people. Built on a plan square and surrounded with staves(moats) put back(handed) in water, it gathers(combines) in a picturesque set(group) homes, detached houses(flags), tours(towers,ballots), bartizans rebuilt to the XVth century and to the XVIth century, from powerful medieval masonries. He kept(preserved) his(its) flat tiled roofs, and many murderesses manifest the insecurity which continued until the XVIIth century. Tour(Ballot)-hall gives access to a narrow court(yard). Lived until 1932 by farmers' families, Buranlure escapes any untimely restoration(catering). Abandoned later, he(it) is just after war in a pitiable state. Forty years of attentive works allowed to save this most perfect example which is in Berry, of strong house in the XVIth century. The castle is opened on the occasion of thematic exhibitions(exposures) or during Heritage Days.
