The original church was an 11th-century chapel, then erected as a parish in 1125\. Destroyed before the middle of the sixteenth century, it is replaced by the current building which is consecrated in 1562\. The church has no transept or right collateral. In deplorable condition, the building was restored in 1888\. A tirants vault replaced the ceiling and the current steeple was built to replace the old one which threatened to collapse. The Gothic style of this church is especially remarkable for all the stained glass windows made by the Lobin workshop from 1860 to 1870\. The organ was designed around 1869 by the famous organ builder Cavaillé-Coll and listed as a historical monument on 14 April 1982\. The fourteen glass windows of the Lobin workshop, a statue of Saint Roch in polychrome wood, a majestic neo-Gothic altar and the fragments of stained glass windows of the sixteenth century recovered and restored form a rich and remarkable furniture ensemble.
