Templar chapel of the twelfth century under restoration. This member of the Commanderie des Bordes was, in the time of the Templars, an important Commanderie. We find proof of this in two charters of 1288 which were part of the archives of the Seigneury of Avor. After the arrest and condemnation of the Templars, Pope Clement V decreed the dissolution of the Order of the Temple by the papal bull on March 22, 1312 and made public at the Council of Vienna (1311-1312). After the dissolution of the Order, the opposition between the papacy and the kingdom of France continued in the allocation of the property of the Templars placed under sequestration of the church.
