Chapelle Notre-Dame de Miquel
Miquel, 56130, Marzan
The chapel of Notre-Dame (16th-18th century), located in the village of Miquel, was first dedicated to Saint-Pierre and then to Saint-Armel and became an important place of pilgrimage. A confession of 1778 states that “on the day of the feast, the 16th of August, there were masses and congregations of people”. It is thought that this chapel belonged to the lords of Quistilly. This 18th century building has a nice entrance door and a bell tower. The ground looks like a headstone.
The Association of St Miguel aims to help maintain and renovate the chapel of Miquel. It organizes a traditional annual festival every 1st Sunday in September.
