Château de Keronic
Route de Languidic, 56330, Pluvigner
In the 14th century, Keronic was an agricultural property with a small manor house on the site of the current castle. Over the centuries, the building developed as well as the agricultural estate, which was reputed to be very fertile. Substantial extensions of the small manor began in the 17th century and continued in the 18th century. At the end of the 19th century, the architect Mellet made a very important enlargement. At the same time the park was redesigned by the landscape architect Legendre (around 1875). It is remarkable both for its heather plants (rhododendrons, camellias and hydrangeas) and for its exotic trees (tulip tree, sequoias, araucarias). It is decorated with a pond and a French garden.
