Excavations (1985-1993) of a disused parish church in 1973 uncovered dozens of sarcophagi and the foundations of a funeral church built in the 6th century, at the time of the first bishops of Mâcon. It is the only site of this period visible throughout southern Burgundy.

Excavations(Searches) (1985-1993) of a disused parish church in 1973 brought to light dozens of sarcophagi and the foundations of a funeral church built in the VIth century, at the time of the first bishops of Mâcon. It is the only site of this visible(obvious) period in all Southern Burgundy.
