Château d'Arcelot

A former parliamentary residence, the Château d'Arcelot is the first neoclassical building in Burgundy (1761 to 1764), and, according to Courtépée (historian 1775), is the most beautiful living room known in Burgundy thanks to its exceptional coloured stucco. Fully furnished, it includes among other things a room specialized on Dijon (18th century furniture), and has remained since its origins in the same family. Its 45 ha park is one of the only landscaped parks (English variant), realized around 1800, which remains of the architect Jean-Marie Morel, the first theoretician of parks and gardens. Park with pond, Chinese pavilion (1805), arboretum, animals etc.
