Built in the thirteenth century by André Dauphin, Count of Viennois, the collegiate church of Saint-André de Grenoble was the chapel of the palace and the necropolis of the sovereigns of the Dauphiné. Endowed with a chapter of thirteen canons, it rivaled the cathedral built at the same time by the bishop, co-lord of the medieval city with the dolphin. The only monument built by the former sovereigns of the province to have reached us intact, it saw passing many historical figures (Louis XI, Saint François de Sales, Lesdiguières, Stendhal...) and houses the tomb of the knight Bayard. Lecture by Gilles-Marie Moreau, college historian and president of the Delphinale Academy, punctuated with musical interludes on the organ, and followed by a guided tour.
