Guided tour
Located in Jarrie, on the ground floor of the Town Hall, in the Clos Jouvin municipal park, the museum is set in the preserved environment of the old vaulted cellars of the mansion.
The visit scenario presents the history of chemistry since antiquity and traces the history, techniques and applications of the chemical industry in the south of Grenoble, from 1915 to the present day.
The chemistry of the 21st century, omnipresent in our daily lives, indispensable to meet the challenges of sustainable development, is discovered more than ever, innovative and responsible.
The temporary exhibition "the challenge of the energy transition"; Technological innovations promote the emergence of renewable energies to definitively exit the exploitation of fossil fuels and reduce our environmental impact. The studies cover many scientific fields and are therefore multidisciplinary. Chemistry plays a key role in many research programmes.
The 21st century will be the energy transition. Aware of this urgency, local authorities, industrialists and citizens are implementing actions to reduce the energy bill. Concrete experiments are being carried out in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region: installation of photovoltaic parks, development of industrial sectors, hydrogen production, energy savings and citizen actions to change one’s daily behaviour. And you, are you ready to take up the challenge?
