Raining, collective exhibition & publication of the newspaper Rocking-Chair #4
For four years, in September, the tipper’s team has been offering a collective exhibition of contemporary art & the annual publication of the newspaper Rocking-Chair.
After Construire, Habiter et Aimer (3 talking verbs for 3 issues already published with their respective exhibitions), this year is Pleuvoir.
Each artist occupies a double page in the journal Rocking-Chair and offers works in the exhibition room of the dumper, the nanotecture and the surrounding areas of the dumper. The works as a whole must reflect the title word, chosen verb from January 2021 and unfortunately cruelly topical...
Moreover, this event fits in perfectly with the theme of the "Sustainable Heritage" of the 2022 European Heritage Days.
Indeed, for a future that they hope will be more sustainable, the founders of the tipper made the choice to prepare the heritage of tomorrow by building a wood frame house.
The «passive» wooden architecture recalls the volume of tobacco dryers, common in the local landscape of the XXth century. A choice of bio-climatic construction, low energy consumption, with in addition, a log stove without electricity, consuming per year, 1.5 m3 of dead wood.
Its slatted cladding and vertical openings give it a deliberately contemporary, identifiable appearance in the landscape.
It is the pursuit of sustainable development goals through the use of natural materials and the respect of the know-how of wood builders and regional artisans.
