The Church of Saint Paul in Meythet is appreciated for its almost immaculate whiteness and the luminosity of its interior spaces that highlight in particular the painting of Arcabas from 1999 which is located behind the altar. Come and admire the contemporary architecture signed Jacques Hergott.

In Middle Ages, Christian parishes are certified in Meythet and Metz-Tessy. At the end of the 18th century, they are deleted(eliminated). The parishioners are attached to the parish of the church Saint-Pierre-Aux-Liens of Epagny. In 1960s, with the increase of the population of Meythet, an interim chapel is installed(settled) in an old(former) shed belonging to the Smithy of Notch. Solution is planned(provided for) for five years. It lasts thirty-five years. Finally, in 1998, the church Saint-Paul is open to worship(cult). Jacques Hergott, architect and big(great) connoisseur of the Christian symbolisms, conceived(designed) a building which transcribes the Christian thought of the end of the 20th century. In the chorus(choir) of the church, the painting(paint) of Arcabas of 1999 represents the Resurrection of the Christ. Revived Jesus is literally attacked(assailed) by the angels who penetrate in the space of its intimacy, however that his(her,its) serenity, his(her,its) majesty and his(her,its) glory dominate everything. The bell tower shelters a bell resulting(coming) from the old(former) church of the Annunciation of Pont-de-Tasset in Cran-Gevrier and a carillon created by foundries Paccard.
