About the location

Built between 1702 and 1714, it occupies the site of the former Saint Laurent Chapel. It is from this chapel that was built the choir of the church. It was first called church and parish of Saint Amédée de La Côte. In fact, the first patron of La Côte was never canonized, it is the «blessed Amédée IX» who was Duke of Savoy from 1465 to 1472 and who married Yolande, sister of the king of France Louis XI. Amédée was chosen as patron in homage to the reigning duke Victor-Amédée who facilitated the disunion with the parish of Aime.
