Circuit "Verthier au fil de l'histoire"
The Dead Water and the lake allowed the development of Verthier, one of the oldest villages that constitute Doussard.
The venue inspired the painters Prosper Dunant and Firmin Salabert.
The circuit allows you to go back to the time when the old bridge (ISMH) was a toll, where the mills were fed by rods that used the force of the water (not so dead, water!), where the main means of transport to reach Annecy was the boat.
It continues with the discovery of an old chapel and traditional habitat: farmhouses with 4-sided roofs, Maison Blain (15th century), a fine example of a bourgeois house.
A series of tours and activities will take place throughout the day on Saturday, September 17, 2022, organized and offered by the Amicale des Hameaux de Verthier-Sollier-la Reisse.
