Musée d'Art sacré

The collections of the sacred art museum of Saint-Mihiel consist of ornaments and furniture liturgical, of which the exceptional whole silver the from XIIIth centuries till XXth centuries, and sculptures. A collection of «dressed wax» manifests of abundant of Lorraine production in the XVIIIth century. These refined objects were bound(connected) to devotion and to popular piety.
Thanks to a route(course) at once thematic and chronological, the visitor arrests different forms and functions(offices) of objects, as well as transformations of medieval liturgical practices in the second half of the XXth century.
