Sion-Vaudémont Hill forms a crescent. On one end is the town of Saxon-Sion where the tower of the Basilica «lighthouse» of the Shrine of Our Lady of Zion emerges. A statue of the Immaculate Conception crowned with stars overlooks this tower, 45 meters high.
The walking trail stretches all around the Sanctuary. It allows us to contemplate the calming horizon, which becomes a meeting place with nature, “an open-air temple”, said Maurice Barrès. An orientation table allows you to discover, with the naked eye, the panorama of 37 steeples and the plains of Saintois.
