L'Esparge was created in 2008 so that the history and memory of the heritage of the Eparges are not forgotten. Composed exclusively of passionate volunteers, it has already achieved great achievements in the fields of heritage, literature, history and memory.
The site of the Eparges is an emblematic place of the Great War, whose landscape of rare beauty is still full of scars. Its astonishing monumentality bears witness to a past that is both painful and heroic. Since its creation, L'Esparge has devoted itself to highlighting this heritage where the destinies of exceptional men and women have crossed.
No work of census of the archives having been undertaken in spite of the richness of the written and photographic testimonies relating to the Eparges, L'Esparge has created a place of reception, the House of the site of the Eparges, where it puts at the disposal of the visitors the fruit of its researches. It constitutes little by little a documentary fund until then not found on the hist
