The fortified castle of Sedan is the largest fortress in Europe. Built from 1424 over more than a century and a half, it spreads over 35,000 m 2\. Part of the collections of the Sedan Municipal Museum, created in 1879, presents the history of the Principality of Sedan until 1642, when it was attached to France, and the major events and people from Sedan up to the war of 1870-1871.
