Die Kirche Notre-Dame du Raincy ist die erste Kirche der Welt, die vollständig aus Stahlbeton besteht. Ein bedeutendes Werk des Architekten Auguste Perret, das am 18. Juni 2023 seinen hundertsten Geburtstag feierte. Seit 1966 als historisches Denkmal klassifiziert, wird sie weltweit als ein symbolischer Meilenstein der Architektur des 20. Jahrhunderts unter dem Namen "la Sainte Chapelle du béton armé" (die Heilige Kapelle des Stahlbetonbaus) anerkannt, wie sie von Le Corbusier genannt wurde. Classified as a Historic Monument since 1966, it is recognized worldwide as an emblematic milestone in 20th century architecture, under the name of "la Sainte Chapelle du béton armé", so named by Le Corbusier. During this tour, discover the work of a bold and innovative architect and renowned artists - Maurice Denis, Antoine Bourdelle and Marguerite Huré. The restoration of the bell tower having been completed recently, the building has had a new look to celebrate its centenary! You will be welcomed by volunteers from the RESTAURER association who will share their passion with you.
