A benevolent parental figure and his young child are about to return home. The child wants to delay the departure, have some more fun. He then invents the Game! Very quickly, it turns out that for adults this business of Playing the Game is anything but simple. How to get along between generations when we don’t have the same priorities? When time doesn’t flow in the same way? When the rules are only there to be changed? The game is actually just a pretext, a way to spend time together and build a relationship.

Une figure parentale bienveillante et son jeune enfant s’apprêtent à rentrer à la maison. L’enfant veut retarder le départ, s’amuser encore un peu. Il invente alors le Jeu ! Très vite, il s’avère que pour l’adulte cette entreprise de Jouer le Jeu est tout sauf simple. Comment s’entendre entre générations quand on n’a pas les mêmes priorités ? Quand le temps ne s’écoule pas de la même façon ? Quand les règles ne sont là que pour être changées ? Le Jeu n’est en réalité qu’un prétexte, un moyen de passer du temps ensemble et tisser une relation.

Een welwillende ouderfiguur en zijn jonge kind staan op het punt naar huis terug te keren. Het kind wil het vertrek uitstellen, wat meer plezier hebben. Dan vindt hij The Game uit! Heel snel blijkt dat voor volwassenen deze zaak van het spelen van The Game allesbehalve eenvoudig is. Hoe kunnen we tussen generaties opschieten als we niet dezelfde prioriteiten hebben? Wanneer stroomt de tijd niet op dezelfde manier? Wanneer alleen de regels gewijzigd moeten worden? Het spel is eigenlijk slechts een voorwendsel, een manier om tijd samen door te brengen en een relatie op te bouwen.
