A troupe of itinerant jugglers settles on Asnapio to revive the songs of gesture of the XIth century!
Nessamelda-le grimoire nomade
In a setting composed of wagons, tents and an embroidered backdrop, the company Nessamelda-Le grimoire nomade offers entertainment and shows combining theater, juggling, music and combat reenactments. The famous epics will take here a humorous turn while allowing to evoke the life of the artists of the XIth century.
Discover or re-discover the most famous of epics: the Song of Roland narrates the last fight between the knight Roland and the valiant knights of Charlemagne against a Vasconian army during the battle of Roncevaux. The sound of the olifant will ring out and the sword of Durendal will sparkle!
The company will tell the saga of Harald Hardrade, the ruthless king of Norway who launched a great expedition to England in 1066, the gesture of William in the middle of the battle of Hastings opposing the Anglo-Saxons and the Normans, as well as that of William of Orange, Charlemagne’s lieutenant who sought to take the city of Nîmes through a ruse inspired by the Trojan War.
Nessamelda also honors the Fables of Aesop, legendary from the eleventh century, well before being popularized by Jean de La Fontaine. Their staging of animals always carries a morality rich in meaning... or not!
Saturday: chansons de geste at 3 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5 p.m., Fabliaux at 5:45 p.m.

Nessamelda-le grimoire nomade
Dans un décor composé de chariots, de tentes et d’un fond de scène brodé, la compagnie Nessamelda-Le grimoire nomade propose des animations et des spectacles alliant le théâtre, la jonglerie, la musique et des reconstitutions de combats. Les fameuses épopées prendront ici une tournure humoristique tout en permettant d’évoquer la vie des artistes du XIème siècle.
Découvrez ou re-découvrez la plus célèbre des épopées : la Chanson de Roland narre l’ultime combat du chevalier Roland et des preux chevaliers de Charlemagne contre une armée vasconne lors de la bataille de Roncevaux. Le son de l’olifant va retentir et l’épée de Durendal scintillera !
La compagnie contera la saga de Harald Hardrade, l’impitoyable roi de Norvège qui lança une grande expédition vers l’Angleterre en 1066, la geste de Guillaume en pleine bataille d’Hastings opposant les anglo-saxon et les Normands, ainsi que celle de Guillaume d’Orange, le lieutenant de Charlemagne qui chercha à prendre la ville de Nîmes grâce à une ruse s’inspirant de la Guerre de Troie.
Nessamelda met également à l’honneur les Fables d’Ésope, légendaires dès le XIème siècle, bien avant d’être popularisées par Jean de La Fontaine. Leur mise en scène des animaux est toujours porteuse d’une morale riche de sens…ou non !

Een groep rondtrekkende jongleurs vestigde zich op Asnapio om de liederen van gebaren uit de 11e eeuw nieuw leven in te blazen!
Nessamelda-le grimoire nomade
In een omgeving bestaande uit trolleys, tenten en een geborduurd podium achtergrond, biedt het bedrijf Nessamelda-Le Grimoire Nomade animaties en shows die theater, jongleren, muziek en gevechtsreconstructies combineren. De beroemde epische verhalen zullen hier een humoristische wending nemen en het mogelijk maken om het leven van de kunstenaars van de 11e eeuw op te roepen.
Ontdek of herontdek het beroemdste epische: La Chanson de Roland vertelt de ultieme strijd van de ridder Roland en de vrolijke ridders van Karel de grote tegen een Vascon leger tijdens de slag om Roncevaux. Het geluid van olijf zal klinken en het zwaard van Durendal zal glinsteren!
Het bedrijf zal de geschiedenis vertellen van Harald Hardrade, de meedogenloze koning van Noorwegen die in 1066 een grote expeditie naar Engeland startte, William's gebaar in de slag van Hastings tegen de Angelsaksische en de Normandiërs, en Willem van Orange's gebaar, Luitenant de Karel de grote die de stad Nimes wilde veroveren met een door de Trojaanse Oorlog geïnspireerde list.
Nessamelda eert ook de Fables d'Aesope, legendarisch uit de 11e eeuw, lang voordat hij werd gepopulariseerd door Jean de La Fontaine. Hun enscenering van dieren draagt altijd een moraal die rijk is aan betekenis … of niet!
