The rule of the game is simple and explicit. In The Selfie Concert, Ivo Dimchev sings only when someone from the audience takes a selfie with him. The show is conditioned by this combined action of the artist and the spectators, questioning in action the narcissism and interdependence that binds a star to their fans. Who watches whom? Who makes whom exist? Do we exist outside the gaze of others? From the mischievous critique that this interactive performance proposes flows a factual reality. We need each other, including for the show to take place tonight.
