Recital Michelangelo
The legendary Russian pianist Viktoria Postnikova will present, with the Swiss bass-baritone Benoît Capt, a program centered around one of her favorite composers: Dmitri Shostakovich.

The program will center around the grand Suite on poems by Michelangelo Buonarroti, composed shortly before Shostakovich's death for the 500th anniversary of the Florentine artist's birth.
This work, which the composer considered his 16th and final symphony, will be preceded by Modest Mussorgsky's visionary cycle, Sans Soleil (Sunless), which Shostakovich admired.
Swiss musicologist Mathilde Reichler, a specialist in the Russian repertoire, will present this recital.

Le programme sera centré autour de la grande Suite sur des poèmes de Michelangelo Buonarroti, composée peu avant la mort de Chostakovitch, pour le 500e anniversaire de la naissance du grand artiste florentin.
Cette œuvre, que le compositeur considérait comme sa 16e et ultime symphonie, sera précédée par le cycle visionnaire de Modeste Moussorgski, Sans Soleil, que Chostakovitch admirait.
