Synopsis: This is the story of the generation from the mid-1980s, a generation that could dream, build, and believe like no other before or since in Yugoslavia. It is an ode to the people and the city of Belgrade, to their shared goal and dream, which almost came true... The film talks about the year 1986, when Belgrade announced its bid to host the 1992 Olympic Games. The capital of Yugoslavia took part in the first historic race of cities. Its competitors were Barcelona, Paris, Amsterdam, Brisbane, and Birmingham.
The preparation of the film was preceded by several months of research at the National Library of Serbia. For the purposes of the film, a document labeled "Confidential - Belgrade's Bid to Host the 1992 Olympic Games" was unveiled for the first time in the Archives of Belgrade. Data and documents were also collected from the Archives of Yugoslavia, the institution "Matica Srpska," and the archives of "Filmske Novosti."

Le film parle de l’année 1986, lorsque Belgrade a annoncé sa candidature à l’organisation des Jeux Olympiques de 1992. La capitale de la Yougoslavie avait pris part à la première course historique des villes. Ses concurrents étaient Barcelone, Paris, Amsterdam, Brisbane et Birmingham.
La préparation du film a été précédée par un travail de recherche de plusieurs mois à la Bibliothèque nationale de Serbie. Pour les besoins du film, le document portant l’inscription - Confidentiel - Candidature de Belgrade à l’organisation des Jeux Olympiques en 1992, a été dévoilé pour la première fois dans les Archives de Belgrade. Des données et des documents ont également été collectés dans les Archives de Yougoslavie, dans l’institution “Matica Srpska” et dans les archives de “Filmske Novosti”.
