Wie immer weichen die traditionellen Lieder und Tänze von Midsommar der aktuellen Musik! Dieses Jahr gibt es ein Doppelkonzert: eine französische Künstlerin, gefolgt von einem schwedischen Duo.
7ebra ist ein Duo, das von den 25-jährigen Zwillingsschwestern Inez und Ella aus Malmö gebildet wird. Mit der E-Gitarre, Ella mit Keyboard, Orgel und Mellotron schaffen sie zusammen eine faszinierende stimmliche Harmonie, wie es nur Zwillingsseelen können. Das Ergebnis sind wunderschöne Punk-, minimalistische und epische Melodien. Ihr Debütalbum Bird Hour ist eine Mischung aus ihrer minimalistischen Indie-Rockmusik und dem Talent von Tore Johansson, der für seine Arbeit mit Franz Ferdinand und The Cardigans bekannt ist. Das am 5. Mai veröffentlichte Album wurde von den Kritikern gelobt: «7ebra ist definitiv eine zu überwachende Band» (Clash Magazine), «7ebras Musik hat ihre eigene geheime Sprache» (Pitchfork) und «Ein brillantes erstes Album... ein echter Fund» (The Sunday Times).
EHLA ist in Südfrankreich aufgewachsen, in einer musikbegeisterten Familie. Schon bald taucht dieses Kind der 1990er Jahre in das Bad von Hip-Hop und Soul ein (Stevie Wonder, Aaliyah, Lauryn Hill) und vertreibt seine Schüchternheit, indem es auf seinem Synthesizer komponiert. Ein Muss, um seine Leidenschaft zu leben: EHLA zieht nach Paris. Dieser Sprung ins Leere, im Angriff auf seine Berufung, findet man in seiner ersten EP wieder, deren Titelsong «Pas d'ici» ein Hit ist. Sie wird von vielen Radiosendern und Plattformen, aber auch auf der Kitsuné-Zusammenstellung gelistet sein und viele Male synchronisiert werden, unter anderem in Emily in Paris und Gossip Girls. Sein Debütalbum Pause, das Anfang Juni erschien, ist ein ultra-sensibler und gedämpfter Pop, der von Soul- und R&B-Einflüssen geprägt ist. Um dieses Projekt erfolgreich durchzuführen, hat sie sich mit vielen Talenten wie Twenty9 (Dinos), Augustin Charnet (Disiz, Emma Peters...) oder Blasé (Mitglied der Gruppe Haute) umgeben. EHLA wird von Spotify im Rahmen des Radar-Programms für aufstrebende Künstler unterstützt.
Im Café FIKA und im Affären Shop werden den ganzen Abend über schwedische Spezialitäten verkauft.

As usual, the traditional songs and dances of Midsommar give way to current music! This year we are offering you a double-concert: a French artist followed by a Swedish duo.
7ebra is a duo formed by Inez and Ella, twin sisters aged 25 and from Malmö. Inez on electric guitar, Ella on keyboard, organ and mellotron, they create together a mesmerizing vocal harmony as only twin souls can. The result is beautiful tunes that are simultaneously punk, minimalist and epic. Their debut album Bird Hour is an alloy of their minimalist indie rock music and Tore Johansson’s producer talent, known for his work with Franz Ferdinand and The Cardigans. Released on May 5, the album was praised by critics: «7ebra is definitely a band to watch» (Clash Magazine), «The music of 7ebra has its own secret language» (Pitchfork) and «A brilliant debut album… a real find” (The Sunday Times).
As for EHLA, she grew up in the south of France, in a family passionate about music. Very quickly, this child of the 1990s plunges into the bath of hip hop and soul (Stevie Wonder, Aaliyah, Lauryn Hill) and chases his shyness by composing on his synthesizer. Obligatory passage to live his passion: EHLA settles in Paris. This leap into the void, to the assault of his vocation, we find it in his first EP, whose song title «Pas d'ici» is a success. Playlisted by many radios and platforms but also on the Kitsuné compilation, it will be synchronized many times, in Emily in Paris and Gossip Girls in particular. Her debut album, Pause, released in early June, is an ultra-sensitive and muted pop digest, tinged with soul and R&B influences. To carry out this project, she has surrounded herself with many talents such as Twenty9 (Dinos), Augustin Charnet (Disiz, Emma Peters…) or Blasé (member of the Haute group). EHLA is supported by Spotify as part of its Radar program, dedicated to emerging artists.

7ebra è un duo formato da Inez ed Ella, sorelle gemelle di 25 anni originarie di Malmö. Con la chitarra elettrica, Ella alla tastiera, all'organo e al mellotron, creano insieme un'incantevole armonia vocale come solo le anime gemelle possono fare. Il risultato è un'aria punk, minimalista ed epica. Il loro primo album, Bird Hour, è una combinazione della loro musica indie minimalista e del talento di produttore di Tore Johansson, noto per il suo lavoro con Franz Ferdinand e The Cardigans. Pubblicato il 5 maggio, l'album è stato acclamato dai critici: «7ebra è decisamente un gruppo da tenere d'occhio» (Clash Magazine), «La musica di 7ebra ha il suo linguaggio segreto» (Pitchfork) e «Un debutto brillante... una vera scoperta» (The Sunday Times).
Per quanto riguarda EHLA, è cresciuta nel sud della Francia, in una famiglia appassionata di musica. Molto presto, questa ragazza degli anni '90 si immerge nel bagno dell'hip hop e del soul (Stevie Wonder, Aaliyah, Lauryn Hill) e scaccia la sua timidezza componendo sul suo sintetizzatore. Passaggio obbligato per vivere la sua passione: EHLA si trasferisce a Parigi. Questo salto nel vuoto, all'assalto della sua vocazione, lo ritroviamo nel suo primo EP, la cui canzone intitolata «Pas d'ici» è un successo. Playlist da molte radio e piattaforme, ma anche sulla compilation Kitsuné, sarà sincronizzata in numerose occasioni, in Emily in Paris e Gossip Girls in particolare. Il suo primo album, Pause, pubblicato all'inizio di giugno, è un condensato di pop ultra-sensibile e ovattato, colorato di influenze soul e R&B. Per portare a termine questo progetto, si è circondata di molti talenti come Twenty9 (Dinos), Augustin Charnet (Disiz, Emma Peters...) o Blasé (membro del gruppo Haute). Comme à l’accoutumée, les chants et danses traditionnelles de Midsommar laissent place à la musique actuelle ! On vous offre cette année un double-concert : une artiste française suivie d’un duo suédois.
7ebra est un duo formé par Inez et Ella, sœurs jumelles âgées de 25 ans et originaires de Malmö. Inez à la guitare électrique, Ella au clavier, à l’orgue et au mellotron, elles créent ensemble une envoûtante harmonie vocale comme seules peuvent le faire des âmes jumelles. Il en résulte de beaux airs à la fois punk, minimalistes et épiques. Leur premier album Bird Hour est un alliage de leur musique rock indé minimaliste et du talent de producteur de Tore Johansson, connu pour son travail avec Franz Ferdinand et The Cardigans. Sorti le 5 mai, l’album a été encensé par les critiques : « 7ebra est décidément un groupe à surveiller » (Clash Magazine), « La musique de 7ebra a son propre langage secret » (Pitchfork) et « Un premier album brillant… une vraie trouvaille » (The Sunday Times).
