Inaugurated in March 2017, the Jean Couty Museum was created thanks to the will of Charles Couty, son of Jean Couty, in an exceptional location on the banks of the Saône, a few steps from the family home and the artist’s studio.
Charles Couty’s primary goal was to create, through this private museum, a place dedicated to his father’s work, but also to open it to modern and contemporary art, with temporary exhibitions dedicated to other great artists.
A beautiful discovery for the visitor who through the thematic route can admire a magnificent range of the work of Jean Couty, a fabulous testimony of his time. Jean Couty painted the real with a rare intensity, emotion in the pure state put at the disposal of all.
