The historical base brings together important and representative ensembles of art from the second half of the 20th century. Rich in about a thousand works, the collection gathers paintings, sculptures, photographs, videos and installations, with important ensembles such as: Le Nouveau Réalism; Narrative figuration; The support-surface The American scene; Space Fluxus; Space around the body; Arte Povera area; Major French artists; Young artists. It grows every year through deposits and acquisitions made as a result of temporary exhibitions.
