Acquisitions 2025 by the Departmental Contemporary Art Fund
Exhibition from June 6 to September 20, 2026
As part of its policy in favor of visual arts, the Department of Dordogne supports contemporary creation and artists of the territory by the acquisition of works and their presentation to the public. Since 2002, these creations have been united within the Fonds départemental d'art contemporain.
Regularly enriched, the FDAC testifies to the vitality and diversity of artistic practices in Périgord. Painting, sculpture, photography, engraving and mixed techniques coexist there, offering a plural look at the forms and issues of current creation.
The 2025 edition marks the entry into the collection of several works: Figure Liminale 2 by Pédro Alves, Mini-reliefs by Jules Andrieux, as well as Sphère de nuit and Sous-bois by Sophie Hawkes.
The exhibition also presents artists already represented in the collection, with Pause by Aude Arnold, Apocalypse No. 1 by Catherine Aerts-Wattiez, Pure Poetry by Natalie Cosson, Portrait de promenade by Eltono, Antonia by Simon Gales, as well as Elizerman’s photographs Somerset and On the Road.
Through these acquisitions, the FDAC pursues its mission of cultural dissemination. The works in the collection are regularly presented as part of exhibitions, mediation actions and partnerships, notably with the Departmental Cultural Agency Dordogne-Périgord, to schools, medico-social structures and local communities.
Presented at the departmental domain of Campagne, the exhibition Mises au jour invites you to discover these recent creations in a contemplative dialogue, at the heart of an exceptional heritage site.
On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, FDAC artists will be present to welcome you and discuss their work.
