The Pommer baths are a former public bath in the city of Avignon, in the Vaucluse. It bears the name of Auguste Pommer, the master builder. It became a museum of the city of Avignon in June 2025.
Born in the Belle Epoque, the Pommer Baths are an atypical and unique place in France. The tour traces all the evolution of these public baths over nearly a century. The visitor is invited to a real immersion in the daily life of the establishment by discovering the evolution of hygiene practices, the history of the Pommer family which are the soul of the place, but also that of the users of the baths, echoing the great changes in society. An exceptional site to discover from June 2025.
