Vor 200 Jahren hat die Erfindung der Fotografie durch Nièpce die Wahrnehmung der Welt verändert. Von nun an wird es möglich, durch das Bild die Realität getreu festzuhalten. Für die ersten Fotografen wird die Stadt zu einem Experimentierfeld und zu einem wichtigen Inspirationsthema für eine erneuerte künstlerische Produktion. In Laval enthüllten sich ab 1860 die Denkmäler, die Straßen und die Aktivitäten der Bevölkerung nach und nach dem Ziel dieser Künstler eines neuen Genres. Im Laufe der Generationen entwickelt sich ihr sensibles Verhältnis zum städtischen Raum parallel zu den technischen Fortschritten des Fotografierens.

Two hundred years ago, the invention of photography by Nicéphore Nièpce revolutionized our perception of the world. From now on, it becomes possible, through images, to accurately capture reality. For the first photographers, the city becomes a field of experimentation and a major subject of inspiration for a renewed artistic production. In Laval, from 1860 onwards, monuments, streets and the activity of the population gradually revealed themselves to the goal of these artists of a new genre. Over the generations, their sensitive relationship to urban space evolves in parallel with technical advances in photography.

Duecento anni fa, l'invenzione della fotografia da parte di Nicéphore Nièpce sconvolse la percezione del mondo. Ormai è possibile, per l'immagine, fissare fedelmente la realtà. Per i primi fotografi, la città diventa un terreno di sperimentazione e un soggetto importante di ispirazione per una rinnovata produzione artistica. A Laval, a partire dal 1860, i monumenti, le strade e l'attività della popolazione si rivelano poco a poco davanti all'obiettivo di questi artisti di un nuovo genere. Nel corso delle generazioni, il loro rapporto sensibile con lo spazio urbano si evolve parallelamente ai progressi tecnici della fotografia.

Il y a 200 ans, l'invention de la photographie par Nicéphore Nièpce bouleverse la perception du monde. Dorénavant, il devient possible, par l'image, de fixer fidèlement la réalité. Pour les premiers photographes, la ville devient un terrain d'expérimentation et un sujet majeur d'inspiration pour une production artistique renouvelée. À Laval, à partir de 1860, les monuments, les rues et l'activité de la population se dévoilent peu à peu devant l'objectif de ces artistes d'un nouveau genre. Au fil des générations, leur rapport sensible à l'espace urbain évolue parallèlement aux progrès techniques de la prise de vue.

Hace 200 años, la invención de la fotografía por Nicéphore Nièpce revolucionó la percepción del mundo. De ahora en adelante, se hace posible, por la imagen, fijar fielmente la realidad. Para los primeros fotógrafos, la ciudad se convierte en un terreno de experimentación y un tema importante de inspiración para una producción artística renovada. En Laval, a partir de 1860, los monumentos, las calles y la actividad de la población se revelan poco a poco ante el objetivo de estos artistas de un nuevo género. Con el paso de las generaciones, su relación sensible con el espacio urbano evoluciona paralelamente a los avances técnicos de la fotografía.
