Das Land der Kunst und Geschichte des Clos du Cotentin bietet eine inszenierte Animation, die "den Märchen und Legenden des Bois des Roches de Rocheville" gewidmet ist. Dieser nächtliche Ausflug führt uns zur Entdeckung der emblematischen Stätte des Roches, einem riesigen Chaos aus riesigen Sandsteinblöcken, das der Gemeinde ihren Namen gab. Es gibt schließlich nur wenige Orte im Cotentin, die so viele Legenden und romantische Interpretationen hervorgebracht haben. Die Natur hat hier so eindrucksvolle Formen hervorgebracht, dass man dort einen riesigen Sonnentempel sehen wollte. Während Feen und Elfen dort lebten, traf man auch auf eine "schreckliche satanische Sau", Werwölfe, Zauberer oder den "Mann ohne Kopf" an den Kreuzungen. Auf dem Gipfel des "großen Felsens" befand sich - so sagt man - der Fußabdruck, auf dem die jungen Mädchen aufstiegen und ihren eigenen Fuß setzten, um so innerhalb eines Jahres verheiratet zu werden...

The land of art and history of the Clos du Cotentin offers a theatrical animation dedicated "to the tales and legends of the wood of the Roches de Rocheville". This night outing will lead us to the discovery of the emblematic site of Les Roches, a vast chaos formed by huge blocks of sandstone that gave its name to the town. There are ultimately few sites in the Cotentin that have given rise to so many legends and romantic interpretations. Nature produced here such suggestive shapes that one wanted to see a huge solar temple, and while fairies and elves made their home there, we also met a "terrible satanic sow", werewolves, wizards or the "Headless Man" prowling at crossroads. At the top of the "big rock" was said to be the imprint of a step, where young girls would climb up and put their own foot, in order to obtain thus to be married within the year...

Il paese d'arte e di storia del Clos du Cotentin propone un'animazione teatralizzata dedicata "ai racconti e alle leggende del bosco delle Roches de Rocheville". Questa uscita notturna ci porterà alla scoperta del sito emblematico delle Roches, un vasto caos formato da enormi blocchi di arenaria che hanno dato il nome al comune. Esistono in definitiva pochi siti del Cotentin che abbiano dato luogo a tante leggende e interpretazioni romantiche. La natura ha prodotto qui forme così suggestive che si volle vedere un immenso tempio solare, e, mentre fate e folletti vi facevano dimora, si incontrava anche una "terribile scrofa satanica", lupi mannari, maghi o ancora "l'Uomo senza testa" che girava ai incroci. In cima alla "grande roccia" si trovava l'impronta di un passo, dove le ragazze salivano e mettevano il proprio piede, per ottenere così di sposarsi entro un anno...

Le pays d’art et d’histoire du Clos du Cotentin propose une animation théâtralisée consacrée « aux contes et légendes du bois des Roches de Rocheville ». Cette sortie nocturne nous conduira à la découverte du site emblématique des Roches, vaste chaos formé d’énormes blocs de grès qui donna son nom à la commune. Il existe en définitive peu de sites du Cotentin qui aient donné lieu à autant de légendes et d’interprétations romantiques. La nature à produit ici des formes si suggestives que l’on y voulut voir un immense temple solaire, et, tandis que fées et lutins y faisaient leur demeure, on y rencontrait aussi une « terrible truie satanique », des loups garous, des sorciers ou encore « l'Homme sans tête » rodant aux carrefours. Au sommet de la « grosse roche » se trouvait dit-on l'empreinte d'un pas, où les jeunes filles montaient et mettaient leur propre pied, pour obtenir ainsi d'être mariées dans l'année…

El país de arte e historia del Clos du Cotentin propone una animación teatralizada dedicada «a los cuentos y leyendas del bosque de las Rocas de Rocheville». Esta salida nocturna nos llevará al descubrimiento del sitio emblemático de las Roches, vasto caos formado por enormes bloques de arenisca que dieron su nombre a la comuna. Existen en definitiva pocos sitios del Cotentin que hayan dado lugar a tantas leyendas e interpretaciones románticas. La naturaleza ha producido formas tan sugestivas aquí que se quiso ver un inmenso templo solar, y, mientras hadas y duendes hacían su morada, también se encontraba una «terrible cerda satánica», lobos, hechiceros o incluso el «Hombre sin cabeza» merodeando por los cruces. En la cima de la «gran roca» se encontraba -se dice- la huella de un paso, donde las jovencitas subían y ponían su propio pie, para conseguir así casarse dentro del año...
