Castle built by Pope Clement V in the early 14th century. Reached to the present day almost intact, the building is the largest and most accomplished model of flat castles with its rectangular plan flanked at the corners by powerful towers to which are added in the center of a front of the enclosure two other massive towers that command the entrance. The defensive architecture is coupled with the charm of a manorial residence with widely lit apartments on the courtyard and countryside.
