Adjacent to the Pilgrims' Hospital*, the medicinal garden is an interpretation of gardens from the Middle Ages. It consists of a wide variety of plants grouped according to their uses: vegetable garden, orchard, aromatic and condimental, useful plants, tinctorial and medicinal. This lively garden needs water, light and shade, living soil, birds and insects. Birdhouses, soil mulching, reasoned mowing and on-site size composting have therefore been set up. A real punk!
*building of the 12th century listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1998, under the title of the Camino de Santiago in France.
