Built near the castle, the church dates back to the 16th century and was renovated in the 18th and 19th centuries. In the 20th century it was damaged by shells from the Second World War and was restored again.

The lordship of Warlus was created in the late 13th or early 14th century. The first castle, or hunting lodge, was built in 1688\. Later, the building, which was to have several wings, was destroyed by a fire that left only one building body, the core of the current building. In the 18th century, the manager of the important agricultural estate resided there. During the Revolution, the estate was sold as national property to a labourer (1795). At the beginning of the 19th century, the property was owned by a former contractor who probably added two side wings (in ashlar) and the large central protrusion of the main façade. The date of construction can be under the Restoration or the beginning of the July Monarchy. In the left side wing is a circular living room with four corner fireplaces, topped by ice trumeaux with decorative motifs of scenes from the Antiquity. This living room closes the row of the three rooms of the primitive castle. The decorations of the rooms of the old castle overlooking the park date from the beginning of the 20th century. During the First World War, the castle served as the headquarters of the French armies. It was also used during the Second World War. The church is located in the enclosure of the property and its door opens onto the village. It is composed of a short nave ending in an apse with three sides and preceded by a bell tower dated 1550\. The chancel was redone in 1777.
