Die Kapelle Saint-Jean-Baptiste wurde 1600 von der Bruderschaft der Schwarzen Pönitenten gegründet und begann ihren Bau 1647, bis sie 1657 vollendet wurde. Für die Begleitung der Sterbenden und für die Wohltätigkeit bestimmt, nimmt sie einen einfachen Grundriss mit einem einzigen Kirchenschiff an, der im Gegensatz zu einer reich verzierten Fassade steht, die von der italienischen Architektur via Avignon beeinflusst ist.
Das monumentale Portal, die korinthischen Säulen, die Festungen, die zentrale Nische mit ihren Umrissen und die Statue des heiligen Johannes des Täufers, die 1898 hinzugefügt wurde, kennzeichnen diese dem Ingenieur Dastet zugeschriebene Fassade. Im Inneren zeugen die barocken Gipsserien von einer schlichten Raffinesse, die im 18. Jahrhundert bereichert wurde.
Nach der Eroberung durch die Revolution wurde die Kapelle zu einem patriotischen Club, bevor sie 1855 ihre religiöse Funktion wiedererlangte. Es wurden neue Anlagen errichtet, insbesondere ein Glockenturm im Jahr 1840 und eine Balustrade mit einer Statue der Jungfrau im Jahr 1860. Die Bruderschaft ging jedoch zurück und verschwand zwischen den beiden Weltkriegen.
Ab 1950 wurde das Gebäude als "Mitral-Saal" in ein Theater umgewandelt und 2012 in "La Scène", einen lebendigen Kulturraum. Die Fassade wurde 1939 unter dem Titel Monuments historiques eingetragen, und das gesamte Gebäude 2005.

Founded by the Brotherhood of Black Penitents in 1600, the Saint-Jean-Baptiste chapel was begun in 1647 and completed in 1657. Intended for the accompaniment of the dying and charity, it adopts a simple plan with a single nave, contrasting with a richly decorated facade, influenced by Italian architecture via Avignon.
The monumental portal, the Corinthian columns, the festoons, the central niche adorned with volutes and the statue of Saint John the Baptist, added in 1898, mark this façade attributed to the engineer Dastet. Inside, the Baroque gypsum testify to a sober refinement, enriched in the 18th century.
Seized during the Revolution, the chapel became a patriotic club before regaining its religious function in 1855. New developments were made, including a bell tower in 1840 and a balustrade with statue of the Virgin in 1860. The brotherhood declined however and disappeared between the two wars.
From 1950, the building was converted into a theater under the name of "Salle Mitral" and then, in 2012, became "La Scène", a living cultural space. The façade was listed as a historical monument in 1939, then the entire building was classified in 2005.

Destinata all'accompagnamento dei moribondi e alla carità, adotta un piano semplice a navata unica, in contrasto con una facciata riccamente decorata, influenzata dall'architettura italiana via Avignone.
Il portale monumentale, le colonne corinzie, i festoni, la nicchia centrale ornata di volute e la statua di san Giovanni Battista, aggiunta nel 1898, segnano questa facciata attribuita all'ingegnere Dastet. All'interno, le gipserie barocche testimoniano una raffinatezza sobria, arricchita nel XVIII secolo.
Sequestrata durante la Rivoluzione, la cappella divenne un club patriottico prima di riprendere la sua funzione religiosa nel 1855. Furono realizzati nuovi allestimenti, in particolare un campanile nel 1840 e una balaustra con la statua della Vergine nel 1860. La confraternita, tuttavia, declinò e scomparve tra le due guerre.
A partire dal 1950, l'edificio è stato riconvertito in una sala da spettacolo con il nome di "Salle Mitral", poi nel 2012 è diventato "La Scène", uno spazio culturale vivente. La facciata è stata dichiarata monumento storico nel 1939 e l'intero edificio è stato classificato nel 2005.

Fondée par la confrérie des Pénitents noirs en 1600, la chapelle Saint-Jean-Baptiste voit sa construction débuter en 1647 et s’achever en 1657. Destinée à l’accompagnement des mourants et à la charité, elle adopte un plan simple à nef unique, contrastant avec une façade richement décorée, influencée par l’architecture italienne via Avignon.
Le portail monumental, les colonnes corinthiennes, les festons, la niche centrale ornée de volutes et la statue de saint Jean-Baptiste, ajoutée en 1898, marquent cette façade attribuée à l’ingénieur Dastet. À l’intérieur, les gypseries baroques témoignent d’un raffinement sobre, enrichi au XVIIIᵉ siècle.
Saisie à la Révolution, la chapelle devient un club patriotique avant de retrouver sa fonction religieuse en 1855. De nouveaux aménagements sont réalisés, notamment un clocher en 1840 et une balustrade avec statue de la Vierge en 1860. La confrérie décline cependant et disparaît entre les deux guerres.
À partir de 1950, l’édifice est reconverti en salle de spectacle sous le nom de « Salle Mitral », puis devient, en 2012, « La Scène », un espace culturel vivant. La façade est inscrite au titre des Monuments historiques en 1939, puis l’ensemble de l’édifice est classé en 2005.

Destinada al acompañamiento de los moribundos y a la caridad, adopta una planta simple con nave única, que contrasta con una fachada ricamente decorada, influenciada por la arquitectura italiana vía Avignon.
El portal monumental, las columnas corintias, los festones, el nicho central adornado con volutas y la estatua de san Juan Bautista, añadida en 1898, marcan esta fachada atribuida al ingeniero Dastet. En el interior, las gipseries barrocas dan testimonio de un refinamiento sobrio, enriquecido en el siglo XVIII.
Incautada en la Revolución, la capilla se convirtió en un club patriótico antes de recuperar su función religiosa en 1855. Se realizaron nuevas obras, en particular un campanario en 1840 y una balaustrada con la estatua de la Virgen en 1860. La cofradía decayó y desapareció entre las dos guerras.
A partir de 1950, el edificio se reconvirtió en una sala de espectáculos bajo el nombre de "Salle Mitral", y luego se convirtió, en 2012, en "La Scène", un espacio cultural vivo. La fachada fue inscrita como Monumento histórico en 1939, y todo el edificio fue clasificado en 2005.
